Unwind of three a cool duet and force
these two against the third. A field sedate
now stained with liquid life provokes discord;
unspoken passions fester and chafe.
Then turn again the wheel and concentrate
like fired rock its powers against a cold
and fluid stream; it gleams a portent late:
compressed, unstable energy explodes.
Now split the stars from void: unearthly nodes
in deepest disagreement yield effect
so delicate, it tinges all unknown,
unreal, inviting eyes to dream unchecked.
Confusion eloquent, without a voice
they speak. The strain is fruitful, rich the choice.
