Richard Dick served in the submarine Navy for 30 years (active and reserve) and retired from the Defense Department in 2015. As a Navigator and church elder, Richard teaches, leads home group and small group Bible studies, and likes to encourage folks. He and his wife enjoy movies, dining out, museums, battlefields (how cool is that - a wife who likes battlefields?!), and stocking his basement with treasures from secondhand book sales.

Julia Wilson graduated from Hillsdale College with a B.S. in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Theatre. She applies her scientific knowledge to her career as a massage therapist and aromatherapist, while satisfying her artistic side by reading, singing, dancing, writing, creating works of calligraphy, and enjoying and participating in theatre whenever possible.

Rachel Basinger is the 9th and 12th grade Humane Letters Teacher at Providence Classical School and a proud alumna of Hillsdale College. She considers Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s The Little Prince the best book on life besides the Bible and loves to read history. Lately, Rachel has been fascinated with studying Henry Kissinger.

Daniel Slonim is pursuing a Ph.D. in mathematics at Purdue University. He studied math and philosophy at Hillsdale College. His interests include metaphysics, theology, natural law, and politics. At Hillsdale he met his beautiful wife Rebekah, with whom he enjoys talking about the aforementioned subjects, memorizing poetry, and discussing the fine points of grammar. His favorite hobby is finding unsuspecting victims and talking to them about math for as long as he can keep them in the room (and conscious).

Madison Kearney is a graduate of Hillsdale College and Franciscan University, and currently teaches in Phoenix. She enjoys sipping wine, reading T.S. Eliot, and watching desert sunsets with her fiancé.

Henry Nolden graduated from College of the Ozarks with a BA in History and a minor in Criminal Justice. He recently graduated from Missouri State University's Defense and Strategic Studies program in Fairfax, Virginia with a Master's degree in the same. In addition to his passion for military history, he pursues interests in education, theology, philosophy, literature, and the role that worldview plays in developing perspective.

Rebekah Slonim (née Basinger) graduated from Hillsdale College with a B.A. in English literature. For school and for leisure, she enjoys reading the poetry of Gerard Manley Hopkins and Robert Frost, analyzing the novels of Jane Austen, and studying Aquinas and Reformed theology. She now works as a freelance editor. One of her favorite hobbies is listening to her beloved husband—who is pursuing a Ph.D. in mathematics—talk about subjects she does not understand, such as real analysis and topology.

Elizabeth Williams graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a degree in English and creative writing and is passionate about using storytelling to serve the poor. An omnivorous learner, she enjoys reading and watching documentaries on a wide variety of topics, from ancient history to alpine mountaineering to quantum physics.

Aaron Kilgore graduated from Hillsdale College with a B.A. in Classical Studies, and from the University of Michigan with a Master's degree in Library and Information Science. He currently works as a librarian, acquiring and preserving the intellectual fruits of civilization. His interests revolve primarily around storytelling, fiction, and language.
